Monthly Favorite: August 2013

Can you believe that this month is already over and that we are 3 months away from a brand New Year, I sure can't, it seems that just yesterday we were celebrating the holidays and know were almost there again.   This month I've been staying with the basics and my makeup has been somewhat neutral and very simple, as you seen on yesterdays post I can wait for fall since I do like to wear darker eyes. I did purchase a high end Foundation this month witch I'm in love with, I do only wear it at night or in special occasions since it was $26.00 even thought is not that much money it is a splurge for me and I want to have it for a while.  I originally intended to but the Tarte Marajuca Foundation but they did not have my shade and she recommended this one instead and I'm pretty happy with it, But I still want to but the Tarte one since I've heard wonders about it. Enough of me jabbing away,

In a Fall Mood

I do always love a smokey eye as summer is coming to an end I really love preparing for fall and winter, specially when the weather here in Arizona has been rainy and some what cloudy (but still hot).  I did try to make my eyes the focal point for today's make up since I really don't like to wear much lipstick.  I am looking forward to weekend since we will be taking a day trip to Fossil Creek,AZ  and should be our last family trip this summer.

First Day of Pre-School

It's amazing how time fly's just a little over four years ago I had this small little baby girl who filled my life with so much happiness and full of joy. Today she began Pre-School and she is so grown up, I was scared that she would cry and wouldn't want to stay but thank god she did not even cry or complain.  My baby is no longer a a baby she's a preschooler who I'm so proud of and I can't wait to to continue this new chapter in our life.

Overall Thoughts:

This was the first month that I received Ipsy package and to be honest I'm really impressed it really makes me Antaeus for next month package.  As for Birchbox I'm okay with I mean yes I received more items which I'm happy to try out but its just a bunch of little samples that they thou together in the box.  I would much rather receive 3-5 larger size items then alot of small ones,  to me this subscriptions are to introduce me to new products and help me decide if its worth investing in full size. I will keep most of the items that I received except for the make up items they are just not for me the Lipstick has to much shimmer although I do love the color, also the blush and the eyeshadow duo don't work with my skin tone I'll be giving those away to my cousin who is alot lighter than I am.  Overall I'm going to continue with my subscriptions to both although I'm most excited for Ipsy.  Let me know if you would like to do a full review on any of this products once I used up all the sample.
