I have a pretty normal and fast everyday make-up routine, as a mom I
don't have a lot of time and I want to get it done in the least amount
of time but still look approachable. I usually would just go with
eyeliner and mascara and of course my best friend the conceler. Then one
day my husband says to me arent you going to wear any make up? at this
moment I realized my husband deserves to have a wife that takes the time
to look good for him because let be realistic how depressing is to get
home to wife that looks like she hasnt slept in years. So this day I
decided that I would wear make minimal make up during the week and for
the weekend I would get all dolled up, so back to the story I asked him
for 15 minutes to put some make up on and he looked at me like you need
more than 15 minutes but I new I did only needed that time so I went
back to our room and 15 minutes later I looked better. From that day
forward I did minimal make up about 3 times a week and the weekend I
always take it a little further.
A lot of you
might be thinking that oh she only does it for him, or because he
superficial, but believe me is nothing like that he actually just loves
me wearing make up since thats the way he had always seen me while we
were dating since at that time I would not walk out of my house if I
didnt have make up ( I was 17 at the time). My mom told me once I was
already living with him to not let my self go to always take care of my
self no matter how sure I felt of him, because he fell in love with me
for everything that I am inside and out. Today I thank my mom for her
advice since its very true he loves me no matter what not matter if I
wake up with frizzy hair and permanant dark circles he loves me but he
also loves the dolled up pretty wife.
Here
is a before and after picture of my face with zero make-up and my after
shoot after about 20 minutes of glamming my self up.
Also here is a link to one of my favorite you tube gurus who's advice I follow to apply my foundation and conceler without having to use tons of products but still focus on highlighting my face.
Thanks for stopping by this quiet afternoon,
Yamileth
